Website accessibility
Accessibility Statement
Kendrick Lodge No. 2043 wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies.
Last reviewed: 15 September 2026
Accessibility standard
This website has been designed and code-reviewed with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as its target standard.
We do not currently claim independently certified WCAG 2.2 AA conformance. A complete conformance claim requires representative manual testing, including assistive-technology testing, in addition to code and automated checks.
What we have done
- provided semantic page headings and HTML landmarks;
- provided a keyboard-accessible “Skip to main content” link;
- provided visible keyboard focus indicators;
- designed navigation and controls for keyboard operation;
- provided labels and autocomplete information for form fields;
- provided text alternatives for meaningful images and hidden decorative images from assistive technology;
- used responsive layouts intended to reflow at narrow widths and high zoom;
- provided sufficiently large interactive controls and spacing;
- avoided reliance on colour alone to communicate essential information;
- respected users’ reduced-motion preference; and
- used live status messaging for contact-form feedback.
Known limitations and testing status
The site has undergone a code-level accessibility review. Manual testing with representative combinations of screen readers, browsers, operating systems, keyboard-only navigation and 400% zoom remains recommended before making an unqualified WCAG 2.2 AA conformance claim.
Third-party services used to submit the contact form may have accessibility characteristics outside Kendrick Lodge’s direct control.

Technical information
The site is built using HTML, CSS and limited JavaScript and is intended to work with current versions of major browsers and common assistive technologies. The website does not intentionally require pointer-only gestures, dragging, flashing content or timed interactions.
Review
